Aerosmith has postponed all their previously announced “Peace Out” farewell tour dates. Due to lead singer Steven Tyler’s vocal cord damage earlier this month. This decision follows Aerosmith’s postponement of six shows on the journey two weeks ago. To give Tyler the necessary time for recovery.

Earlier today, AEROSMITH said: “Sadly, Steven’s vocal injury has proven to be more severe than our initial diagnosis. His doctor has confirmed that, apart from the damage to his vocal cords. He has also suffered a fracture to his larynx. He requires constant medical care.”

“Doctors provide him with the best available treatment to ensure his speedy recovery. However, due to the nature of the fracture, medical professionals highlight the importance of patience. As a result, we have to delay all the currently planned ‘Peace Out’ shows for a date in 2024. And we will reveal the new dates as soon as we obtain further information.”

Tyler stated, “I am devastated not to be performing with AEROSMITH, my fellow band members, and the amazing BLACK CROWES for our loyal fans worldwide. We assure you that we will return as soon as possible!”

AEROSMITH started its “Peace Out” farewell tour on September 2 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which has a capacity of 21,000.

AEROSMITH kicked their show with “Back In The Saddle,” played a cover of FLEETWOOD MAC’s “Stop Messin’ Around” in the middle, and wrapped up the performance with a two-song encore of “Dream On” and “Walk This Way.”

Live Nation organized a 40-date North American tour, which had scheduled stops at arenas across the U.S. and Canada. These stops included the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden in New York, and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, with a special performance in their hometown of Boston for New Year’s Eve 2023.

The “Peace Out” tour was initially planned to conclude in Montreal on January 26 next year. THE BLACK CROWES were joining AEROSMITH for the entire tour to celebrate AEROSMITH’s five decades of music.

Before launching the “Peace Out” tour, AEROSMITH finished their highly praised Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Before the residency, AEROSMITH returned to their hometown of Boston to give a record-breaking one-time performance at Fenway Park as part of their legendary band’s 50th anniversary celebrations. In May 2022, AEROSMITH announced that Tyler had entered a treatment program because of a relapse, causing the band to temporarily suspend their Las Vegas residency. Tyler has been dealing with drug and alcohol addiction since the mid-1980s. He faced setbacks multiple times over the past four decades, including in the early 2000s and 2009.
