For fans of Kiss, one of the most exciting recurring traditions has been the return of former members during the Kiss Kruise events. This year, guitarist Bruce Kulick, who played with the band in the ’80s and ’90s, has confirmed he’ll share the stage again with his old bandmates.
Even though Kiss officially retired their classic makeup era after the End of the Road farewell tour ended at Madison Square Garden in December 2023, core members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Tommy Thayer continue performing the band’s catalog. They’re planning two “Unmasked” Kiss shows during the Kiss Kruise Land-Locked in Vegas, a fan weekend scheduled for November 14–16 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Kulick says he will guest on the second night of the event. “I’ll be joining them on some songs,” he tells Ultimate Classic Rock. While the setlist hasn’t been finalized, he’s excited about the prospect. He’s made similar appearances before on past cruises, both in electric and acoustic formats.
Kulick’s Own Vegas Set: Deep Cuts & Surprises
Beyond simply joining Kiss, Kulick is plotting a solo portion of the show that aims to go beyond the obvious hits. He says his set will lean into songs he feels strongly about having contributed to during his time with the band, but he’s also planning “left turns”—unexpected choices that dig deeper into the catalog.
“I used to do a lot of medleys so I could put more songs in the set,” he says, “but I didn’t want to do that this time. But there is one medley because it makes sense to represent some of these songs. Even though they won’t be full versions, everybody will love it.”
