Eminem thrilled fans at the Thanksgiving showdown between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers by making a surprise appearance alongside rock legend Jack White. The rap icon, who grew up in Detroit, served as an executive producer of the halftime show at Ford Field, working closely with his manager, Paul Rosenberg.
No one expected Eminem to take the stage himself, but he emerged alongside White, sporting a Lions jacket over a white hoodie. Rising from a platform framed by pyrotechnics, he delivered a powerful rendition of his 2002 hit “Till I Collapse,” with White providing searing guitar accompaniment.
The collaboration between the Detroit-born rapper and the White Stripes frontman brought the stadium to life. White closed out the set with the iconic anthem “Seven Nation Army,” sending the crowd into a frenzy. This performance marked Eminem’s debut as executive producer of the Thanksgiving halftime show, and it was he who chose White to headline the spectacle.
Despite the electrifying performance, the Lions were unable to capitalize, falling 31-24 to the Packers. The team now faces a challenging battle for a wild-card spot to reach the NFC playoffs.
