Mark Kendall is continuing his fight against stage four kidney cancer, and despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, he’s choosing to focus on progress, gratitude, and staying positive.

Speaking about his condition, Kendall shared that things are currently moving in the right direction, with treatment helping reduce the size of the tumor. He explained that while his form of cancer is not curable, it is manageable, and recent updates have given him reason to stay hopeful.

The guitarist has been undergoing immunotherapy, a treatment that has already shown results. Earlier scans revealed the tumor shrinking significantly, a sign that the therapy is working as intended.

Kendall also made it clear that he is surrounded by strong medical support, noting that he has access to top specialists and advanced treatment options. That support system has played a key role in keeping his outlook steady as he navigates the challenges of the illness.

Rather than focusing on fear, Kendall has leaned into perspective. He acknowledged that while the diagnosis is serious, he considers himself fortunate that the disease has remained contained and manageable, rather than spreading aggressively.

His mindset reflects resilience built over decades in the music industry. As a founding member of Great White, Kendall has already endured major highs and devastating lows — from global success in the 1980s to personal and professional tragedies. Now, he’s applying that same endurance to his health battle.

Importantly, Kendall has also reassured fans that he is not seeking financial assistance, instead asking for support, encouragement, and positive energy as he continues treatment.

Even amid the diagnosis, he remains focused on the future — continuing to work on music, stay active, and keep moving forward with the band. His outlook isn’t defined by the illness, but by how he chooses to face it.

In the end, Kendall’s message is clear: this is a fight, but it’s one he believes he can manage — and one he’s approaching with determination, gratitude, and a refusal to step away from the life he’s built.
