Godsmack Release Live at Mohegan Sun, a New Live Album Capturing an Emotional Final Chapter

Godsmack have officially released Live at Mohegan Sun on May 1, 2026, issuing the concert as a live album and concert film across digital formats, double vinyl, Blu-ray, and CD. The project was recorded during the band’s sold-out October 26, 2024 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, and it captures what the band describes as one of the most emotional nights in its history.

The release documents a major turning point for the group. The show marked the final performance of Godsmack’s original classic lineup with Sully Erna, Tony Rombola, Robbie Merrill, and Shannon Larkin onstage together, after Rombola and Larkin decided to retire from the band. Godsmack framed the concert as a final curtain call for that era, while also signaling that the story is not over.

The album was announced on March 13, 2026, with the band saying the release captured “the most incredible piece of work” they had ever filmed and urging fans to soak in even the bonus features. Sully Erna said the show was “exciting,” “powerful,” and “incredibly emotional,” adding that it would be the last time fans would see all four original members performing together in a sold-out venue at Mohegan Sun.

The release also launched with a live video and single for “When Legends Rise,” which helped set the tone for the album rollout. Primary Wave described the performance as a high-voltage document of a hometown-adjacent New England crowd, with Erna’s crowd call — “Are we ready to fucking party?! Are we ready to go faster, louder, harder?” — setting up the energy that runs through the record.

Erna said the project was built around connection and closure, calling it one of the most important things the band has ever captured on film. He also said the moment at Mohegan Sun was not the end of Godsmack, but “closing one chapter and welcoming whatever the new version of our career may be.”

The live album runs 15 tracks and clocks in at 1 hour and 23 minutes. Its setlist includes the band’s biggest songs along with the dramatic drum showcase that helped define the night.

Tracklist — Godsmack: Live at Mohegan Sun
Side A: “Surrender,” “You and I,” “When Legends Rise,” “1000hp”
Side B: “Cryin’ Like a Bitch!!,” “Speak,” “Straight Out of Line,” “Awake”
Side C: “Keep Away,” “Voodoo,” “Battle of the Drums”
Side D: “Whatever,” “Under Your Scars,” “Bulletproof,” “I Stand Alone”

Primary Wave said the performance showcased Godsmack at full force, moving from heavy staples like “Awake” and “Cryin’ Like a Bitch!!” to the more emotional “Under Your Scars” and the modern-era material that has kept the band relevant across generations.

The release also arrives with a larger touring push. Godsmack’s 2026 “Rise of Rock” tour includes major festival and amphitheater dates across the U.S. and Europe, with stops beginning in May 2026 and continuing through the summer.

For Godsmack, Live at Mohegan Sun is more than a concert film or a live record. It is a document of transition: a last look at the original lineup, a statement of gratitude, and a loud reminder that even when a chapter ends, the music keeps moving forward.
