Stanley Simmons have released “Cellophane,” a psychedelic, ‘60s-leaning guitar-pop track that arrived as the duo’s fourth single on June 5, 2026. The project pairs Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, the sons of Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, and continues to show that they are deliberately building a sound of their own rather than copying the Kiss formula.
The new song follows “Body Down” from December 2025, “Dancing While the World is Ending” from March 2026, and “Temporary Love” from May 2026. With each release, the picture has become clearer: Stanley Simmons are aiming for a record that is distinct, melodic, and rooted more in songcraft than in legacy branding. Evan Stanley made that point early on, saying, “I’ve got my own thing going.”
Paul Stanley has been openly enthusiastic about the project, too. During the band’s 2025 Land Locked in Las Vegas fan event, he told the crowd, “This is not a paid announcement… Wait until you hear Nick and Evan’s album, it’s unbelievable. It’s hard to believe they came from us!” That vote of confidence has only added to the curiosity around the duo’s debut.
The album, also titled Dancing While the World is Ending, is due Aug. 28. The full track list shows a wide sonic spread, from the opener “Body Down” to the closing “Sing Myself to Sleep,” and includes “Cellophane” in the middle of the sequence.
