After years of waiting, the rock world can finally breathe — Breaking Benjamin’s long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Ember is completely finished.
In a high-energy interview at Rock Am Ring 2026 in Germany, guitarists Jasen Rauch and Keith Wallen unleashed the news fans have been dying to hear. “Well, the album’s done,” Rauch declared. “There is a title for it. We are so close for everything coming out. We have some big announcements coming.”
The band has been grinding in the studio full-time for four years post-pandemic. They re-recorded some songs three different times, dealt with a lineup change, and navigated personal and family challenges. But now they’re on the other side — and the pride is palpable.
Keith Wallen added with visible excitement: “We’re done. It’s sinking in… Trust me, we are so ready to put it out. We are so excited.”
The album was wrapped just weeks ago at a U.S. festival, where the band snuck in one final vocal line in a makeshift setup. “We just got masters back. We’re doing some different artwork tweaks,” Rauch revealed. Expect the official release date to drop over the summer.
The hype train is already rolling. Last month the band dropped the crushing new single “Something Wicked”, and in October 2024 they returned with “Awaken” — their first new music in six years. Both tracks showcase the band pushing their signature dark, atmospheric sound into even heavier, more emotional territory.
Benjamin Burnley on “Something Wicked”: “We challenged ourselves especially hard on this record… We pushed every boundary we’ve previously had as far as it will go, then pushed a little more.”
