Machine Gun Kelly is powering through serious pain after a dangerous stage dive gone wrong left him with a major back injury.
The incident occurred on June 6, 2026, during an after-party performance at Mezzo Grille in Middletown, Connecticut. While performing his track “FIX UR FACE” from the roof of the venue, MGK launched himself into the crowd for a stage dive. Unfortunately, the fans below were unable to catch him properly, resulting in a hard fall.
In a raw and honest Instagram Stories update, MGK revealed the extent of the damage:
“I messed my back up really, really bad. I can’t even stand up without using my arms and my upper body strength to help support my back.”
He continued:
“If I’m moving funky at any of these upcoming shows, I don’t want you to think I’m not giving it my all. It hurts to breathe… but nothing’s more important than the show going on. I don’t cancel anything.”
Despite the severe pain, MGK is determined to push through his ongoing Lost Americana Tour with Wiz Khalifa. He even joked that he might have to finish the tour from a wheelchair, showing his signature rockstar dedication and refusal to let fans down.
This is classic MGK — chaotic, reckless, and fully committed to giving fans a memorable experience no matter the cost. While the injury sounds painful and potentially serious, his “the show must go on” mentality has earned respect from many fans. However, it also raises questions about artist safety during high-risk stunts. Hopefully MGK recovers quickly, but in true punk-rock fashion, he’s choosing to bleed for the stage rather than sit on the sidelines.
