Watch the First Trailer for Oasis Reunion Movie Featuring Noel and Liam Together

One year after the impossible became reality, Oasis has officially lifted the curtain on its highly anticipated reunion documentary. The first teaser trailer for Don’t Look Back in Anger has arrived, offering fans an emotional first look at the band’s historic comeback and, perhaps more importantly, the first joint interviews between Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher in more than two decades.

The 45-second teaser wastes no time reminding fans why the reunion became one of the biggest musical stories in recent memory. Against dramatic backstage footage and scenes from the sold-out Live ’25 Tour, Noel can be heard admitting:

“I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam; I just don’t see it.”

Moments later, Liam reflects on the band’s bitter 2009 breakup with a simple but powerful statement:

“The way it finished… unacceptable.”

Those brief comments set the tone for what promises to be the most revealing Oasis documentary yet.

A backstage pass to rock’s biggest reunion

Unlike previous Oasis films, Don’t Look Back in Anger isn’t simply another concert movie.

According to the filmmakers, the documentary combines rehearsal footage, backstage access, on-stage performances, and extensive behind-the-scenes material from the band’s blockbuster Live ’25 Tour, which reunited Noel and Liam for the first time since their explosive split in 2009. The film also includes their first joint sit-down interviews in over 20 years, giving fans an unprecedented look at how the brothers finally put years of public feuding behind them.

The documentary has been created by acclaimed writer Steven Knight, best known for Peaky Blinders, while directing duties are handled by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmaking duo behind several acclaimed music documentaries.

More than just a concert film

In announcing the documentary, the producers described it as far more than a record of a successful tour.

They called it:

“An unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world.”

The statement adds that the film explores not only the performances but also the emotional impact Oasis has had across multiple generations, examining why the reunion became a global cultural event rather than simply another comeback tour.

Steven Knight echoed that sentiment, explaining that the reunion represented something much larger than music.

He said the tour united people across countries, generations, and cultures while offering a story of reconciliation in an increasingly divided world. According to Knight, the documentary gives audiences not only “a ticket to the show” but also “a seat at the table” as Noel and Liam finally explain what happened—and how they found their way back together.

The reunion nobody thought would happen

For nearly sixteen years, fans assumed Oasis would never return.

The Gallagher brothers’ infamous backstage fight in Paris in 2009 ended one of Britain’s biggest rock bands overnight. Years of public insults, interviews, and social media exchanges only strengthened the belief that reconciliation was impossible.

Everything changed when Oasis announced the Live ’25 Tour, a reunion that sold millions of tickets worldwide and became one of the highest-profile live music events in recent history. The tour featured 41 shows across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and South America, drawing an estimated three million fans.

The trailer deliberately plays on that history.

As dramatic concert footage flashes across the screen, the words appear:

“The great wait is over.”

Then comes one final warning:

“It’s going to be chaos.”

When and where to watch

Don’t Look Back in Anger is scheduled to premiere in theaters and IMAX this September, with streaming expected afterward on Disney+ internationally and Hulu in the United States. While an exact streaming date has yet to be announced, anticipation is already soaring following the release of the first teaser.

If the trailer is any indication, this won’t simply be another music documentary.

It promises to chronicle one of rock’s most extraordinary reconciliations—one that many believed would never happen.
