ACE FREHLEY: My New Solo Album Will ‘Embarrass’ PAUL STANLEY And GENE SIMMONS

In a recent interview with Cassius Morris, former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley discussed how his career outlasted Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and KISS. Frehley attributed his long-term success to overcoming addiction. He said, “Becoming sober was a watershed moment for me, significantly improving my health compared to a decade or two ago. Paul and Gene frequently tarnished my reputation to justify Tommy Thayer’s role in the band. However, their criticisms no longer have the same impact on me as they did before.”

Ace, who is preparing to launch his new solo project “10,000 Volts,” expressed confidence in the upcoming release. He claimed it will outperform anything his former bandmates could produce. “Before I began working on this album, I was confident that it would surpass their achievements. I’m challenging them to match its quality,” he declared.

During an interview with ZackAttack of the classic rock station 93.5 FM MAX in Muncie, Indiana, Ace reflected on the early days of his solo career and the scepticism he faced. Despite accusations from Paul and Gene aimed at discrediting him, Ace demonstrated his resilience. He released five albums and maintained a consistent touring schedule over the last decade. “Their attempts to label me as unreliable contradicted their own actions. Especially with their recent comments about my potential involvement in their farewell tour, which they claimed would tarnish their performance,” he said in a statement.

Ace Frehley and Steve Brown of TRIXTER produce the “10,000 Volts” album. The album is set to release on February 23, 2024, through MNRK Music Group. The music video for the title track has already received a lot of attention. It indicates that the album will be a big hit.

This upcoming album is Ace’s most recent release since “Spaceman” in 2018, followed by “Origins Vol. 2,” which featured covers of classic rock hits and contributions from notable artists, including a collaboration with Gene Simmons.
