Miranda Lambert is opening up about the support she has been offering rising star Ella Langley as Langley’s career continues to climb. In a new Billboard interview cited by People, Lambert explained that she sees part of her role in country music as helping younger women navigate the pressure that comes with sudden success.
Lambert said she tries to use what she has learned over more than 20 years in the industry to guide younger artists. She described herself as a “hype girl” for Langley, saying she is often there to talk her up or help her work through decisions. Lambert also said that when she got things wrong early in her own career, she can now use those mistakes as advice for someone younger.
The two artists co-wrote “Choosin’ Texas,” which became Langley’s first big No. 1 hit and helped fuel the success of her album Dandelion, released in April 2026. Lambert also co-produced the album and appears on it in a duet called “Butterfly Season.”
Lambert said she had never seen a reaction quite like the response to “Choosin’ Texas,” which is part of why she believes Langley is on a different level right now. In her view, the moment is bigger than a normal country hit, and Langley is still learning how to handle it all.
