Brad Whitford talked about Aerosmith’s treatment for him And Joe.

Aerosmith

Aerosmith’s members Brad Whitford and Joe Perry are not that satisfied with the treatment they got from the band members. With Guitar World, They talked about Aerosmith’s album “Get Your Wings” which was out in 1947. For the Ghost Guitarists’ album, Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner were chosen. Brad expressed his feelings about Hunter and Wagner’s involvement on the record.

He said, “ First of all, you fight and you lose your patience. After some time you feel sad to the point where you feel that you can’t do anything. But the only thing about it was we could do better than them. Also, the track requires some real finesses.”

Brad was somehow in a difficult position. He couldn’t accept that he and Perry were not the only guitarists linked with the 1974 album. But he could not stop himself from praising Hunter and Wagner for their contribution to the album.

He said, “ Listen to the track ‘Train Kept A-Rollin’ today; Those are the F*cking awesome rock leads. That was the peace of art.  That’s fantastic and that was the thing we were most proud of. Also, the solo was mindblowing.”

Even though the band had done a lot of injustice to him and Perry, Brad said that he learned a lot with Hunter in the mix. He even pushed himself to get better.

He explained, “ I would be in pleasure when I was in the studio with Steve Tyler. The time when Steve came to cut the ‘Train’ solo. I even listen to it every day. It’s one of the lessons on guitar for me. From then on, Steve influenced me a lot as a player. His playing is like mine. I continued to understand some of his playing. And Dick was more like Joe and he used to be together with Joe.”

Hunter and Wagner had also worked a lot. They have experience collaborating with other artists. However, After some time they even worked with Lou Reed.
