Creed and Limp Bizkit to Headline 2026 Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival

Creed and Limp Bizkit have been announced as co-headliners for the 2026 Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival, a two-day rock music event set for July 18–19, 2026 at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois. The announcement reunites the two acts that rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s and had previously been linked by a well-publicized feud.

Limp Bizkit will headline the first night of the festival, while Creed is scheduled to close out the second night. The expanded lineup includes a mix of veteran rock acts and newer performers, with Cypress Hill, Sevendust, Kittie, Puddle of Mudd, Bush, Hoobastank, Candlebox, Mammoth, Magnolia Park, The Pretty Wild, Slay Squad, Sleep Theory, Big Wreck and The Verve Pipe among those announced to perform across two stages.

The festival, which has become a recurring showcase of late-1990s and early-2000s rock nostalgia, promises fans a blend of genre favorites on the “Higher” main stage and the “Are You Ready” side stage throughout the weekend. Tickets are expected to go on sale later this month, with presales beginning ahead of the general public release.

Industry observers note that the pairing of Creed and Limp Bizkit taps into a resurgence of interest in legacy rock acts and the era that defined alternative and nu-metal crossover audiences. The development reflects broader trends in live music programming, where multi-day themed festivals with deep catalogs of fan favorites continue to attract cross-generational attendance.

The 2026 edition builds on past iterations of the Summer of ’99 festival, extending its cultural footprint by celebrating bands emblematic of a formative period in rock history. Organizers view the event as both a nostalgic tribute and a platform for connecting longtime fans with contemporary rock culture.
