Creed Guitarist Mark Tremonti Confirms Band Will Recording Next Album by Mid-2026

Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti has confirmed that the band will begin working on new music in mid-2026, marking their first fresh studio material since 2009’s Full Circle.

Speaking on “Cutter’s Rockcast,” Tremonti explained that the heavy touring schedule since their 2023 reunion prevented the band from writing new music earlier. “When we did all this touring… we were so busy that there was no way for us to really put stuff, new music together,” he said.  Now, with a relative opening in their schedule, he says agents and promoters are urging the band to have fresh material ready for their next run: “You’ve got to have something, a driver, for the next tour. You can’t just go out and do the same thing.”

Tremonti revealed that he’s already stockpiling ideas: “I’ve been working real hard on trying to put together new ideas so I can get together with [singer] Scott Stapp and start working. But, it would probably have to be the middle of next year before we start doing that.”  He emphasized that any future material will aim to capture the essence of the band’s earlier sound rather than veer into overly progressive territory.

While fans eagerly await details of a new record, Creed will still round out 2025 with their “Creedmas” holiday shows and the “Summer of ’99 + Beyond” cruise in April 2026.
