Def Leppard’s 2026 Las Vegas residency isn’t just a return—it’s a reinvention. In an exclusive interview released November 13, 2025, Joe Elliott revealed the Sheffield rockers have scrapped their existing show and are building a fresh concept designed to engage both veteran fans and casual visitors alike.
Set to run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from February 3 through February 28, the 12-date residency marks the band’s third in Las Vegas after previous runs in 2013 and 2019. Elliott said the challenge lies in balancing hits with deeper catalog cuts:
“There’s a lot of people coming that are just there to enjoy Vegas … They want the hits and then the first 10 or 12 rows, they just want the deep cuts. So you’ve got to strike a really fine balance, which is what we’re currently working on now.”
The new show, built from the ground up, will incorporate visuals, staging, and “bells and whistles” suited for the Vegas crowd—but Elliott stressed that the focus remains on the songs themselves.
“Everything else just helps the journey get along … but that’s what brings people in, you know? … The songs is the important bit.”
In advance of the residency, Def Leppard will release a live album, Diamond Star Heroes: Live from Sheffield, on November 21, 2025. The recording captures the band at home, playing before nearly 40,000 fans.
With a discography spanning over 110 million albums sold worldwide, Def Leppard have plenty of hits. But for these Vegas shows, Elliott promises the familiar will be joined by the unexpected, as the band digs deeper into their catalog and re-frames their legacy for a new decade.
