Def Leppard to Be Honored With Hollywood Walk of Fame Star on Oct. 9

At 11:30 a.m. PT on Thursday, October 9, 2025, Def Leppard will receive their 2,824th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located at 1750 N. Vine Street. The star will be dedicated in the Recording category, honoring a band whose music has shaped rock history with over 110 million albums sold worldwide and two RIAA Diamond Awards in the U.S.

Joining the celebration will be emcee Bob Buchmann, along with Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, who will pay tribute to the band’s remarkable career.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce praised Def Leppard’s influence and impact in a statement.

“From their explosive anthems to their legendary live shows, Def Leppard has earned a permanent place not only in music history, but now on one of the most famous sidewalks in the world,” said Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.

Def Leppard’s lineup — Joe Elliott (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick Savage (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar), and Rick Allen (drums) — remains one of the most iconic in rock. From Pyromania to Hysteria, their catalog defined a generation with stadium-sized hooks and unforgettable performances.

But beyond the hits, Def Leppard’s legacy extends into philanthropy. The band has supported numerous organizations, including Make-A-Wish, MusiCares, Shriners Children’s Hospital, and Teenage Cancer Trust, giving back to the communities that helped lift them to fame.

Tomorrow’s ceremony isn’t just another accolade — it’s a full-circle moment. From their humble beginnings in Sheffield to becoming one of the world’s biggest rock bands, Def Leppard will finally take their place among the stars — both figuratively and now, literally — on Hollywood Boulevard.
