Foreigner Reunite With Lou Gramm for “4 Deluxe” Tour This December

Foreigner are reuniting with original singer Lou Gramm for their “4 Deluxe” tour in December, a series of U.S. shows timed to the release of a super-deluxe edition of their landmark 1981 album 4. The boxed set arrives on 12 September 2025 via Rhino Records and includes remastered stereo and Atmos editions, unreleased tracks, early song versions, instrumentals and a wealth of archival material. The reunion brings together Foreigner’s current lineup, led by vocalist and guitarist Luis Maldonado, with Gramm returning for selected dates. The rest of the band includes Jeff Pilson on bass, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, Bruce Watson on guitar and Chris Frazier on drums, a combination designed to retain the band’s trademark sound while adding fresh energy.

With Gramm onstage, the band is reshaping their live shows. During a recent performance at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, they revived “Luanne” for the first time since 1985, alongside “Girl on the Moon” and “Urgent”, a sequence that fans greeted with enthusiasm. This hint of deeper cuts suggests that the upcoming December dates will mix chart hits with rare tracks, celebrating both Foreigner’s commercial past and its cult fan favorites. Early confirmed shows include Staten Island on 6 December, Bethlehem on 7 December, Wallingford on 9 December, two nights in Montclair on 11–12 December, and Williamsport on 13 December, with further dates expected.

The reunion is only one part of Foreigner’s broader plans. In addition to the deluxe release, the band is preparing orchestral shows for March 2026, considering a summer 2026 co-headlining tour and completing new music based on unfinished material from their late-70s and early-80s archives. Bassist Jeff Pilson has confirmed that work is underway on tracks dating back to the Head Games sessions, suggesting that the group may soon unveil vintage recordings that fans have never heard. Lou Gramm’s return comes after Kelly Hansen completed his run as frontman, indicating another shift in the band’s long history.

The arrangement balances nostalgia with continuity. Gramm’s voice reconnects Foreigner to its classic years, while the current lineup maintains momentum for future touring and recording. The deluxe edition of 4, the revived setlists and the archival releases point to a band determined to celebrate its legacy without becoming static. For lifelong fans, the December shows represent a rare moment: the sound of Foreigner’s past performed by the voice that first defined it, arriving alongside new ideas that hint at a future beyond a simple reunion.
