“He Can Exist Digitally as Himself”: Jack and Sharon Osbourne Are Working On A Digital Ozzy For Future

Jack and Sharon Osbourne are planning a future in which Ozzy Osbourne’s presence can continue digitally, with his likeness, voice, and movement used for brand partnerships and advertising. The idea was discussed at Licensing Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, during a session titled The Enduring Legacy of a Rock Icon and His Family: Ozzy Osbourne and The Osbournes.

According to Louder’s report, the family has been working with Hyperreal, a company that describes itself as focused on immersive avatar concerts and other entertainment technologies. Jack said the goal is to preserve the “digital DNA” of Ozzy Osbourne, including his voice, image, and movement, so that the late Black Sabbath frontman can still be seen and heard in new ways.

Jack said the technology is now so advanced that creating a digital version of Ozzy is, in his words, “almost drag-and-drop.” He suggested that a commercial could be built by shooting a template, then prompting digital Ozzy to perform whatever action is needed. He also said the result would be accurate enough that Ozzy could “exist digitally as himself” for as long as computers exist.

Sharon described the concept even more boldly, saying people could ask Ozzy anything and receive answers in his own voice, based on what he would have said. She said the family wants to take this idea “all around the world,” turning digital Ozzy into something audiences can actually interact with, not just watch.

Both Jack and Sharon emphasized that any digital version of Ozzy has to remain true to who he really was. Jack said he does not want to pretend Ozzy was some polished poet, stressing that the family needs to ask what Ozzy would actually do in any given situation. Sharon added that the point is for Ozzy to remain widely recognizable, comparing the idea to how Elvis Presley has stayed culturally present long after his death.

The article also notes that the same event included another rock-related announcement: Japanese toy company Epoch Company, Ltd. unveiled an official Mötley Crüe trading card collection. The set is due in December and will include autograph cards and memorabilia inserts, though the example images released to the press did not show founding guitarist Mick Mars, who left the band in 2022.

Taken together, the story points to a future where legacy rock icons may live on through increasingly realistic digital recreations. For the Osbournes, that future is not being framed as a gimmick, but as a way to protect Ozzy’s image, extend his legacy, and keep his personality visible to new generations.
