Iron Maiden Won’t Play the Las Vegas Sphere, Says Bruce Dickinson

Iron Maiden, known for their epic live shows, have made it clear they won’t be performing at the new Las Vegas Sphere. Frontman Bruce Dickinson explained that the band values the direct connection with their audience, something he feels could be lost in a venue dominated by massive screens and technology.

“Maiden’s about the relationship between the band and the audience,” Dickinson said. “The Sphere… I think the band would be very uncomfortable with the idea.” He questioned the purpose of playing somewhere where the visuals might overshadow the music itself: “What’s the point of even being there, if you’re a band?”

While some artists, like Metallica, are open to using the Sphere for a residency after their 2026 tour, Dickinson remains skeptical. For Iron Maiden, the human energy of a live show is what makes their performances special—and that’s something no screen can replace.
