Keith Richards, a member of The Rolling Stones,  spoke out about their rivalry with The Beatles, claiming that John Lennon and George Harrison would have fit into his band.

During an interview with The Telegraph, Richards discussed the band’s rise to prominence in the 1960s, explaining that they all hung out in the same circles and liked the same music.

He went on to say, “I don’t think John Lennon would have had much problem fitting into the Stones, or George, if you can imagine that sort of thing happening.”

He went on to say, “We were all from the same generation and shared a love of music. When we first heard The Beatles, we felt relieved to discover that another band in England was on the same track as ours. And within a few months, that track became the primary track.”

This comes as Keith Richards and the rest of The Rolling Stones were preparing for their album Hackney Diamonds. It was their first official release in 18 years.

Mick Jagger, a band member, recently teased a song called ‘Bite My Head Off’, which features Paul McCartney.
