Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach says the band is already thinking ahead to its next batch of songs. In a June 5, 2026 interview on Chicago’s Rebel Radio, Leach confirmed that extra tracks recorded during the sessions for 2025’s This Consequence are still waiting to be released. He said the band cut 14 songs, with four left off the album.
Leach explained that one of the leftover songs was quietly released on a compilation to raise money for an animal shelter, while another should come out through the same company soon. He said the remaining two are hoped to appear within the next few weeks as a B-side seven-inch.
He also said the band is open to changing how it releases music in the future. Leach noted that he is not opposed to EPs, saying Killswitch may eventually use shorter releases, seven-inches, or even 10-inch vinyl to get music out more quickly and keep things fun for collectors. He added that the band will probably start working on new material in early 2027.
