Limp Bizkit Concert Cancelled in Estonia Following Fred Durst’s Pro-Russia Comments

A show by Limp Bizkit set for mid-2026 has been abruptly cancelled in Estonia amid resurfaced controversy over frontman Fred Durst’s past remarks supporting Russia and Vladimir Putin.

The band was scheduled to perform on May 31, 2026 at the Unibet Arena in Tallinn.  However, the show has been removed from both the promoter’s and venue’s listings, and a Facebook event page is now marked “cancelled.”

In a statement published on the event page, promoter Baltic Live Agency wrote:

“We inform you that due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, the Limp Bizkit concert planned for May 31, 2026, is cancelled. Our apologies.”

The cancellation appears tied to Fred Durst’s controversial historical statements. In 2015, he expressed sympathy toward Russia’s annexation of Crimea and praised Putin’s leadership. Durst reportedly stated during a radio interview: “How Russia is portrayed in the media is far from reality, and I want to prove to everyone that it’s really cool!”

According to Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such views were incompatible with the country’s values. A spokesperson told the national news agency ERR:

“There is no place in Estonia for a supporter of an aggressor state.”

This is not the band’s only recent setback. In October 2025, Limp Bizkit’s longtime bassist Sam Rivers died at age 48—an event that shook the band’s community and fanbase.

At present, Limp Bizkit’s website and social media accounts have not publicly addressed the cancellation. The band’s next scheduled show is set for November 29, 2025, in Mexico City.

For now, the aborted Tallinn date raises questions about how historical remarks and geopolitical sensitivities can still reverberate in the music world—especially for artists on international stages.
