Fans of Linkin Park were left disappointed after the band abruptly cancelled their scheduled concert in Adelaide, Australia, citing an illness affecting someone in the touring party.

The show was set to take place on March 12, 2026, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, as part of the band’s ongoing From Zero World Tour. However, only hours before the concert was due to begin, the group announced that the performance would no longer go ahead.

In a message shared on social media, the band confirmed the cancellation and expressed regret to fans who had been preparing to attend the show.

“We have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel tonight’s show due to an illness in the band.”

They continued by explaining that the decision was not taken lightly.

“The Australian tour has been incredible so far and we are devastated that we’re unable to perform for our fans in Adelaide.”

The band also confirmed that the show will not be rescheduled, though fans will receive full refunds through their original point of purchase.

The cancellation came as a major disappointment for fans in Adelaide, with the concert expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees.

For many, the event marked a rare opportunity to see the band live. The Australian tour itself is especially significant, as it represents Linkin Park’s first tour of the country in more than a decade, and the band’s new era following the tragic death of longtime vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017.

The current lineup features Emily Armstrong, who joined the band as co-vocalist alongside Mike Shinoda. Armstrong had reportedly struggled with vocal issues during a recent Melbourne performance earlier in the week, though the band did not officially confirm whether her condition was the cause of the Adelaide cancellation.

The Adelaide concert was one of several stops on Linkin Park’s From Zero World Tour, which supports the band’s 2024 album From Zero. The global tour, running from 2024 through 2026, marks the group’s first major world tour in seven years.

The Australian leg had already included arena shows in Brisbane and Melbourne, featuring a setlist that mixed classic hits like In the End, Numb, and Crawling with newer material from the band’s latest era.

Despite the setback in Adelaide, the band’s remaining shows are still expected to go ahead, including two upcoming concerts at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on March 14 and March 15.

Looking Ahead

While the sudden cancellation left many fans disappointed, the band emphasized that health concerns had to come first.

For now, fans across Australia will be hoping the illness clears quickly so that the remainder of Linkin Park’s tour can continue without further disruption.

Even with the unexpected setback, the band’s return to international touring continues to draw massive crowds—proving that more than two decades into their career, Linkin Park’s connection with fans remains as powerful as ever.
