In a recent Instagram post, Mick Jagger shared a video of himself dancing to Maroon 5’s ‘Moves Like Jagger,’ and his son Lucas reacted to it.
The Rolling Stones frontman danced to a cover band playing the song in a bar. Jagger shows his dance moves, waving his arms and smiling for the camera in the video. He captioned the post, “Moves like who! …Music by Splash.”
Lucas left a comment under the video, writing, “Dadda WHO PUT U UP TO THIS?”

In ‘Moves Like Jagger,’ Maroon 5 collaborated with Christina Aguilera. The track dropped on June 21 and became Maroon 5’s second chart-topper after 2007’s ‘Make Me Wonder.’ Following the song’s release, Jagger shared with the BBC what he felt about it, “It’s very flattering, isn’t it? Hilarious. They [Maroon 5] asked me to come and play with them … but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
The singer also spoke to the Sun about ‘Moves Like Jagger.’ He stated, “I wish I had written it. But wouldn’t that be weird? It’s not really like a Maroon 5 song, so they’re probably as surprised by the success of it as I am. It’s very catchy and it’s funny. The only thing is, it puts pressure on me when I go out dancing!”
Adam Levine Explains How Jagger Inspired Him
Jagger also mentioned on David Letterman’s show in 2012 that he didn’t make any money from the song. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine talked about making the track in 2011 with NPR. He said, “Only Jagger has the moves like Jagger. That being said if there was ever someone to aspire to … I don’t think anyone could claim to have the moves like James Brown, or the moves like Michael Jackson, or the moves like Prince. There’s something about the way [Jagger] moves that is uniquely his own and hard to imitate, but also accessible and silly and fun, and not taking itself too seriously.”
The rocker will hit the road with the Rolling Stones for their 2024 ‘Hackney Diamonds’ tour in late April and May. The tour starts on April 28 in Houston, Texas.
