Nikki Sixx has come to the defense of longtime Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil after a fan insulted the singer on social media, prompting a blunt and emotional response from the bassist.

The exchange took place on March 7, when a user on the social platform X directed a harsh message toward Sixx criticizing Neil’s weight and vocal performance. The fan wrote that Sixx should get the singer “jogging or some Ozempic,” adding an insult about his singing ability.

Nikki Sixx Fires Back

Sixx didn’t stay silent. The following day he publicly responded to the comment with a direct defense of his bandmate and friend of more than four decades.

Sixx wrote:

“What an embarrassing thing to post… about my singer who’s been with me for 45 years. No matter what you think, he’s my brother.”

He then added a blunt message to the critic telling them to “go suck a dick.”

The response quickly circulated among rock fans online, with many applauding Sixx for standing up for his longtime bandmate.

A 45-Year Bond in Mötley Crüe

Sixx’s reaction highlights the deep personal bond shared by members of Mötley Crüe, one of the most iconic rock bands to emerge from the 1980s glam metal scene.

The band — consisting of Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars — rose to international fame with albums like Shout at the Devil, which helped establish them as one of the biggest heavy metal acts of the decade.

Over the decades the group has weathered internal conflicts, lineup changes, and personal struggles, but Sixx has repeatedly emphasized the strong brotherhood between the band members.

Vince Neil’s Recent Health Struggles

Neil has faced significant health challenges in recent years, which have been a concern among fans.

In December 2024, the singer suffered a stroke, and he later revealed it was part of a series of strokes that left him unable to get out of bed that morning. Since then, he has undergone extensive physical therapy and training as he worked to regain his strength and return to performing.

Despite these setbacks, Neil has remained committed to performing and continuing the band’s legacy.

Mötley Crüe’s Upcoming Tour Plans

Looking ahead, Mötley Crüe is preparing for a major 2026 North American tour titled “The Return of Carnival of Sins.”

The tour celebrates two major milestones:

  • The 20th anniversary of the band’s original Carnival of Sins tour (2005–2006)
  • The band’s 45th anniversary

The 33-city tour is scheduled to kick off on July 17, 2026, at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, with support from rock bands Extreme and Tesla.

Fans React to Sixx’s Loyalty

The online exchange sparked strong reactions from fans across social media. Many praised Sixx for defending his bandmate so passionately, noting that the members of Mötley Crüe have shared decades of history together.

For Sixx, the message was simple: regardless of criticism from outsiders, Vince Neil is family.

And after more than four decades of music, chaos, and survival in the rock world, that bond clearly still runs deep.
