Noel Gallagher has admitted he is “blown away” by the reaction to Oasis’ long-awaited reunion tour, but kept tight-lipped when asked if the shows might stretch into 2026 with a return to Knebworth.
Speaking on TalkSport on August 19th, Gallagher was first quizzed about the band’s comeback before switching topics to his beloved Manchester City. Reflecting on the shows so far, he said:
“I’m completely blown away. It’s difficult to put it into words, actually. It’s kind of like every night is the crowd’s first night… every night’s got that kind of same energy. It’s been truly amazing.”
In a rare moment of warmth, Noel even admitted he was “proud” of Liam, joking that while fans rave about his brother’s voice, “it is AI.”
He also confessed to nerves on the opening night in Cardiff on July 4th, revealing that the scale of the occasion briefly got the better of him. “I don’t mind telling you, my legs turned to jelly after about halfway through the second song,” he said. “I could have done with going back and taking a minute, but it’s been an amazing thing.”
When pressed on rumours that the reunion could roll into 2026, possibly with a triumphant return to Knebworth, Noel quickly deflected: “Let’s talk about football.”
For now, Oasis’ reunion continues on August 24th at the Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada, with the tour still one of the hottest tickets in music.
