Paul McCartney Announces 2025 U.S. ‘Got Back’ Tour at 83—Because He’s Not Done Yet

Paul McCartney could have hung up his guitar years ago and still gone down as one of the greatest to ever grace a stage. But at 83, the legendary Beatle isn’t slowing down—in fact, he’s getting back on the road.

McCartney has officially announced a new leg of his Got Back tour, a 19-date North American trek set to begin on September 29 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. The tour will see the rock icon hit major cities including Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Chicago, performing in a mix of arenas and stadiums through late November.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on July 15 via paulmccartneygotback.com.

A Tease Before the Storm

Before the announcement, fans were treated to a cryptic Instagram Story from McCartney featuring a pair of guitar picks engraved with “Got Back”—a subtle nod that something was brewing.

This new run follows McCartney’s 2022 Got Back tour, which covered 16 U.S. dates before expanding to Australia, South America, and Europe. It wrapped with a triumphant London finale in December 2023.

Still Playing Like It’s 1964

Much like his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr, who still tours with his All-Starr Band, McCartney thrives on connecting with fans through music that has defined generations. In February, he stunned fans with intimate, last-minute shows at New York’s 500-capacity Bowery Ballroom—delivering a blistering 100-minute set that spanned Beatles classics like Let It Be and A Hard Day’s Night, Wings staples like Jet, and even the emotional 2023 Beatles release Now and Then.

On stage, McCartney remains all energy and charm, head-bopping and grinning his way through a setlist that feels both timeless and deeply personal. No matter how many times he’s played these songs, the magic remains.
