Phish Confirm 2026 Sphere Residency With Nine New Dates

Phish have unveiled a fresh batch of 2026 concert dates, confirming their return to Las Vegas for another immersive run at the Sphere while opening a new round of ticket requests for fans eager to be part of the experience.

The band will play nine shows at the groundbreaking venue beginning April 16, with the run scheduled to conclude on May 2. Fans can now submit ticket requests through Phish’s official website, with the initial request window closing Monday, December 8, at noon EST. Any remaining tickets will be released to the general public on Friday, December 12. A limited number of travel packages are also being offered for fans planning the full Vegas pilgrimage.

Their upcoming return to the Sphere carries extra weight given the venue’s high-performance expectations. Since its 2023 launch, the multimillion-dollar space has become a global spectacle, thanks in large part to U2’s opening residency. Yet when Phish stepped in as the next major act to take over the dome in April 2024, they quickly proved that they were not simply filling big shoes—they were expanding the venue’s potential.

Journalist Mike Prevatt praised their first of four sold-out Sphere shows as a sensory masterpiece, writing that while U2 introduced the world to the Sphere’s capabilities, Phish “used every ingredient in the Las Vegas venue’s hi-tech cupboard for an ultimate feast of the senses.” Comedian Drew Carey echoed the sentiment with even sharper praise. After attending U2’s show and being blown away, he admitted that Phish’s performance made him want to “call U2 and get my money back,” joking that the Irish rock icons suddenly looked “like a bar band” by comparison.

Before returning to Vegas, Phish will close out 2025 with their traditional New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden. They’ll play December 28 through 31, bringing their total number of MSG concerts to an astonishing 91—a testament to their enduring live legacy. The band also kept busy this fall with a tour that included an appearance at the Bourbon & Beyond festival and a notable series of hometown shows at the Hampton Coliseum, a venue deeply woven into the band’s history.

Phish’s 2024 momentum also included a major career milestone: a nomination for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Guitarist Trey Anastasio noted how meaningful the recognition felt, telling GQ that it was not just an honor for the band, but for the entire ecosystem around them. “It’s an honor and a thrill, a recognition of our whole scene, of our community,” he said. “That was the first thing we all talked about—that it’s a celebration of this community.”

With a storied year behind them and their Sphere residency ahead, Phish enter 2026 not only as jam-band legends but as one of the few acts capable of redefining what a live show—especially inside the world’s most advanced venue—can truly be.
