DragonForce are entering 2026 with a major new chapter: Alissa White-Gluz has joined the band as their new vocalist and first frontwoman, and the group is already lining up a North American tour around the 20th anniversary of Inhuman Rampage. The news was first shared on the band’s official site on May 6, 2026, where DragonForce also confirmed a full run of North American dates for the anniversary celebration.

The band’s announcement came after weeks of speculation and followed White-Gluz’s first live appearances with DragonForce at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio. Those shows were framed as special anniversary performances built around Inhuman Rampage, the 2006 album that helped push DragonForce to a wider audience.

At Rockville on May 9, White-Gluz fronted the band while longtime singer Marc Hudson missed the show because of ongoing tinnitus issues. DragonForce still delivered a high-energy set, with live guitarist Billy Wilkins providing backing vocals, and the performance included staples like “Operation Ground And Pound” and “Through The Fire And Flames.” Louder described the debut as a baptism of fire for White-Gluz, but also a clear sign that the new lineup could immediately handle the pressure.

White-Gluz’s addition was announced on May 6, and DragonForce described the move as a “momentous union” of two major forces in heavy music. Herman Li said, in part, that “Alissa joining the band is an expansion of everything we’ve done up to this point,” and added that she “sounds incredible live.” White-Gluz replied that she was “beyond excited” to bring the music to life with the band and said she wants to keep pushing her boundaries for the fans.

The touring plans are just as bold as the lineup shift. According to Loudwire, DragonForce’s 2026 North American headlining run will cover 22 cities across the U.S. and Canada, begin in San Diego on November 13, and wrap in Los Angeles on December 13. The road package will feature Ensiferum and Rhapsody of Fire as support.

The band has also been laying the groundwork for this new era on its official site. DragonForce confirmed both Welcome To Rockville for May 7–10, 2026, and Sonic Temple for October 28, 2025 announcement coverage, making those early festival slots the first public signs that the Inhuman Rampage anniversary cycle would be a major live campaign. The official site then followed up with a May 26, 2026 news post announcing the full North American anniversary tour.

This all builds on a big stretch for White-Gluz, who left Arch Enemy in November 2025, launched her own band Blue Medusa, and has also been working on a solo album. Louder reported that she has said the solo project is meant to feature collaborators from across her career and to explore a wide range of styles, while DragonForce gives her another huge platform to stretch vocally and live.

For DragonForce, the timing makes sense. Inhuman Rampage remains the album most closely associated with the band’s rise, especially through “Through The Fire And Flames,” and the new touring cycle leans into that legacy while also clearly signaling a reset. With White-Gluz now in the band, the group is not just revisiting the past — it is using a classic anniversary to launch a very different future.
