Mötley Crüe are hitting the road again — big time. The band just announced their 2026 North American tour, dubbed “The Return of the Carnival of Sins,” marking both the 20th anniversary of the original Carnival of Sins tour and the band’s 45th anniversary.
In a statement, the band said: “Bringing back the spirit of Carnival of Sins has been a blast, and we wanted to take it even further for its 20th anniversary. This new show is for the Crüeheads who’ve been with us through it all and for the new Crüeheads who didn’t get to experience Carnival of Sins last time around. Get ready — we’re coming your way and we can’t wait to see you next summer.”

What the Tour Means — New Set List, New Energy
This tour won’t simply be a nostalgic walk down memory lane. According to bassist Nikki Sixx, the band is actively reworking their concert set list for 2026. During a recent interview he said:
- The band wants to strike a balance between the hits fans know and love and deeper, lesser-heard tracks.
- Mötley Crüe might even let fans vote on some of the songs — giving longtime fans a chance to hear rarities and newer fans exposure beyond just the greatest hits.
Sixx also called the set-list design “an interesting conversation,” noting the challenge of satisfying die-hard fans who want deep cuts while also giving casual concert-goers what they expect — the big hits.
Anniversary Box Set & Giveback Initiative
Coinciding with the tour announcement, Mötley Crüe has also released a deluxe 40th-anniversary box set of their 1985 album Theatre of Pain. The set includes a remastered album on colored vinyl, a previously unreleased 1985 live concert from Long Beach, rare demos, and a hardcover book with never-before-seen photos and memorabilia — a treat for collectors and fans.
Additionally, the band has pledged to donate $1 from every ticket sold to the non-profit ASAP! (After School Arts Program), supporting arts education for children.
What’s Next
With tour dates confirmed, support acts lined up, and promises of a refreshed set list, Mötley Crüe is gearing up for what may be one of rock’s biggest summer 2026 events. With a mix of nostalgia, spectacle, and dedication to fans both old and new, the “Return of the Carnival of Sins” might just rewrite how legacy tours are done — loud, proud, and full of chaos.
