Rush Reunites for Fifty Something Tour in 2026, First Shows in Over a Decade

On October 6, 2025, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced that Rush will reunite for a North American tour in summer 2026, their first since 2015 and their first since the passing of legendary drummer Neil Peart.  The Fifty Something tour spans seven cities, kicking off on June 7 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and wrapping up September 17 in Cleveland’s Rocket Arena.

To fill Peart’s colossal shoes, Rush have tapped acclaimed German drummer Anika Nilles, known for her solo work and collaborations with Jeff Beck. Lee and Lifeson called her “remarkable” and expressed excitement for fans to welcome her into the band’s story.  They also plan to bring in additional musicians to expand their live sound.

The newly announced tour is framed as a dual celebration: commemorating Rush’s more than 50 years of music, and honoring the artistry and legacy of Peart. Peart’s widow and daughter endorsed the tour, calling it an opportunity to celebrate his extraordinary contribution as both drummer and lyricist.

Earlier in 2025, Rush released a greatest hits compilation titled Rush 50, which ends with tracks performed at their final concerts, providing fans with a symbolic bridge between the past and what’s next.

Tickets for the tour go on general sale October 17, following presales that began earlier in the month.

For fans who have waited years to hear Rush live again, Fifty Something isn’t just a tour—it’s proof that the essence of what made them timeless still burns in the speakers.
