Static-X Cancels All Remaining 2026 Tour Dates Amid “Serious Medical Issues”

Static-X has canceled all of its remaining 2026 tour dates after announcing that the band is dealing with “serious medical issues” that require immediate attention. The statement was shared on social media and confirmed by multiple music outlets on May 18, 2026. The band did not identify which member or members are affected.

In the band’s message, Static-X said: “Due to serious medical issues, Static-X will be forced to cancel our remaining tour dates in 2026.” The group added that the situation is “unavoidable” and said it needs immediate attention, before apologizing to fans for the disappointment. They closed by promising to return to the stage in 2027 “bigger, stronger and faster.”

The cancellation affects the band’s remaining 2026 run, including a summer trek with Dope that had been scheduled to hit several U.S. cities. Reports on the cancellation listed stops in Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Montana among the affected dates.

The news lands as a surprise because Static-X had only played two shows earlier this month, appearing at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach on May 8 and at Sonic Temple in Columbus over the weekend. Those festival sets were the band’s only performances so far in 2026.

Fans reacted quickly online with concern, especially because the band has remained active in recent years while honoring the legacy of late frontman Wayne Static. Static-X released Project Regeneration Vol. 1 in 2020 and Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 in 2024, both of which continued that legacy with archival Wayne Static material alongside new work from the surviving lineup.

The group also released a 25th anniversary box set for Wisconsin Death Trip last fall, showing that the band had still been celebrating its history even while looking ahead to future touring and recording plans. Bassist Tony Campos had previously said the band had discussed making new music with the current lineup once touring obligations were finished.

For now, though, the priority is clearly health. Static-X ended its message by thanking fans for their support and saying it looks forward to seeing everyone again very soon. The tone of the announcement made one thing clear: the band is stepping away now, but it does not sound like they are stepping away for good.
