Status Quo’s Francis Rossi Announces Major 2026 UK Tour

Status Quo co-founder and frontman Francis Rossi has confirmed a 30-date UK tour for autumn 2026, continuing his prolific solo resurgence following decades at the center of British rock. The trek, billed Songbook: Quo – Past, Present, Future, will see Rossi traversing the length and breadth of the UK with a setlist likely centered on classic Quo songs alongside deeper solo material.

At 76, Rossi remains one of rock’s most enduring figures, having fronted Status Quo — originally formed in 1962 — through a legendary career that includes more than 180 million records sold and an astonishing run of hits that helped define British boogie-rock.

The newly announced UK tour consists of 30 dates and is designed as a celebration of Rossi’s music — drawing from his vast catalogue with Status Quo as well as solo work. The title Songbook: Quo – Past, Present, Future suggests a retrospective showcase: fan favorites, lesser played tracks and perhaps fresh material introduced within the context of a storied legacy.

Rossi’s solo career has evolved organically over recent years, with increasingly ambitious and creative live shows that often mix storytelling with live performance. In 2025 and earlier tours, he’s revisited songs not typically heard in Quo lineups alongside personal anecdotes about his long career on the road.

The 2026 tour follows a highly productive start to the year for Rossi, who released a digital double single in early January featuring two new tracks — “Push Comes To Shove” and “November Again” — taken from his upcoming solo album The Accidental, due January 30, 2026, via earMUSIC.

These songs have been praised for their energy and Raspy, signature Rossi guitar work, and they signal that his solo output continues to channel the spirit of classic rock while exploring fresh creative impulses.

With The Accidental arriving just weeks before the UK tour, Rossi will be uniquely positioned to blend new material with the hits that helped him shape the sound of Status Quo.

Although Status Quo itself has not toured regularly in recent years, and Rossi has indicated in interviews that he does not foresee Quo recording new material again, his solo career has become a powerful extension of the band’s spirit.

Past solo tours — including intimate acoustic runs and larger band shows — have shown Rossi’s comfort in curating shows that honor his musical past without simply revisiting it. The forthcoming UK trek is likely to continue this balance, offering both nostalgia and reinterpretation for long-time fans.

While exact dates and venues have not yet been fully released, the 30-date UK tour is expected to cover major cities and cultural centers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Fans can anticipate a mix of:

  • Classic Status Quo anthems
  • Deep cuts from Rossi’s Status Quo catalogue
  • Solo material, including tracks from The Accidental
  • Anecdotes and stories from Rossi’s long career on the road

This structure follows the successful model Rossi established in his recent solo shows, which blend music with reminiscence and rare performances of less frequently played songs.
