The Rolling Stones are reportedly set to release a brand-new song tomorrow morning, marking the first official preview from their upcoming 25th studio album.

According to multiple reports, the track is titled “Rough and Twisted” and will arrive as a limited vinyl-only “white label” release, continuing the band’s recent trend of surprise, old-school style drops rather than traditional streaming-first launches.

The release is linked to the mysterious name “The Cockroaches”, a codename the band has reportedly used during early promotional stages — a move that sparked speculation across London after posters appeared around Camden hinting at new material.

Early descriptions of the song suggest it stays firmly in the band’s signature style. Reports describe a driving blues-rock riff, loose swagger, and harmonica work from Mick Jagger, with the track capturing the raw, unpolished energy the Rolling Stones have built their legacy on.

Lyrically, the song is said to follow a narrative-style journey, with Jagger singing about a chaotic road trip-like sequence, reinforcing the band’s long-standing fascination with blues storytelling and American imagery.

“Rough and Twisted” is expected to serve as the lead single from a new Rolling Stones studio album, currently set for release in July 2026. The project is being produced by Andrew Watt, who also worked on their 2023 comeback album Hackney Diamonds.

Reports suggest the album is already largely complete, with multiple additional tracks recorded and possibly more releases planned beyond this record cycle.

Despite the new music, reports indicate that the Rolling Stones are not planning a full tour at this stage, with internal discussions previously ruling out extensive live dates due to logistical and personal considerations.

However, the band is still expected to make select promotional appearances around the release period.

Even after more than six decades, the Rolling Stones continue to operate with the same unpredictable release style that defined their early career — blending secrecy, surprise drops, and raw blues-rock identity.

If confirmed, tomorrow’s release will once again reinforce their status as one of rock’s most enduring and unpredictable forces.
