TWISTED SISTER ANNOUNCES SEBASTIAN BACH AS REPLACEMENT FOR DEE SNIDER

Legendary glam-metal outfit Twisted Sister has announced that former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach will take over lead vocal duties for the band’s upcoming performances, stepping in after longtime singer Dee Snider stepped away due to health concerns.

Earlier in 2026, Twisted Sister was planning a 50th-anniversary reunion tour, marking five decades since the band’s formation and celebrating their iconic status in heavy rock. However, those reunion shows were abruptly canceled after Snider — now in his 70s — resigned from the band, citing ongoing health challenges that made it difficult for him to continue performing at the level expected for full concert sets. Snider clarified to fans that he isn’t dying but acknowledged that degenerative arthritis and heart-related issues were forcing him to slow down his live commitments.

With the anniversary tour shelved, Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda decided to keep the band’s live legacy alive by enlisting Bach — one of hard rock’s most recognizable voices from his late-’80s and early-’90s era fronting Skid Row. French and Ojeda released a statement saying they are “thrilled” to have Bach front the band for a **handful of select shows this fall,” adding that Bach’s appearances won’t interfere with his own solo tour schedule.

The announcement was made via social media alongside a short rehearsal clip of Bach with the band, giving fans a first look at how the lineup sounds with him on vocals. Other founding and longtime members are expected to be part of the performances, with Russell Pzütto likely handling bass duties and drummer Joe Franco joining on drums — echoing setups from past Twisted Sister lineups.

Fans and rock media have reacted strongly to the news, noting that while no one can truly replace Dee Snider’s iconic delivery, Bach’s powerful voice and stage presence make him a compelling choice to keep the band on the road. Enthusiasts point out that the chemistry between Bach’s hard rock credentials and Twisted Sister’s theatrical anthems could deliver unique performances of classics such as “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock.”

The move comes amid speculation about the band’s long-term future now that Snider has stepped away. While details like exact dates and venues for the fall shows haven’t been confirmed yet, the September announcement has reignited excitement among fans — especially those eager to see a new twist on the band’s high-energy anthem-filled catalog.

Although Snider won’t be performing with Twisted Sister this year, he and Bach have maintained mutual respect over the years. In past exchanges, both artists have publicly expressed admiration for each other’s contributions to rock and metal, which adds a sense of goodwill to the transition even as fans digest the surprising lineup change.

Twisted Sister’s decision to move forward with Bach underscores both their desire to celebrate the band’s legacy and their hope to deliver memorable shows while Snider prioritizes his health. More details on dates, supporting acts, and ticket information are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks as the fall appearances approach.
