A freshly remastered trailer for The Beatles Anthology has dropped, teasing a full revival of the legendary documentary series — now fully restored and expanded for Disney+.
Originally released in 1995, the eight-part Anthology traces the Beatles’ journey from their early Liverpool days, through Beatlemania, global fame, counter-culture years in India, and eventually their split. For the new edition, Disney+ is not only restoring the original episodes but also adding a brand-new ninth episode, featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr working together in the mid-1990s to reflect on their shared past.
The trailer blends classic 1995 footage with newly revealed moments from the upcoming episode. Apple Corps led the restoration, collaborating with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films and Park Road Post, while producer Giles Martin has created new audio mixes for much of the series’ music.
Alongside the documentary, a freshly expanded “Anthology Collection” is set for November 21. The collection features the original three Anthology albums, now remastered, and a new “Anthology 4” volume with 13 previously unreleased demos and rare recordings, plus updated mixes of “Free As a Bird” and “Real Love.” The new series and music launch is tied to a wider celebration: a 25th anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book will also arrive, packed with over 1,300 photos and personal reflections from the band.
The remastered Anthology series will begin streaming on Disney+ on November 26, 2025.
