Ghost frontman Tobias Forge made a rare, unmasked appearance at a concert by Swedish singer-songwriter Lars Winnerbäck in Linköping on October 10, 2025. At the SAAB Arena, Forge contributed backing vocals and guitar—including a solo—on Winnerbäck’s 2003 hit Dunkla Rum.
What made the moment stand out wasn’t just the collaboration, but that Forge performed without his customary makeup or mask. For the longest time, Ghost kept his identity under wraps—after all, his persona was deeply tied to the band’s mystique.
Forge has previously spoken about the tension between anonymity and recognition. In an interview, he said that being forced into public identity after years of hidden performance felt like “a paradox … making your band bigger while remaining less known.”
His guest spot with Winnerbäck shows a new side—less character, more musician. It’s a reminder that behind the ghostly façade is someone who still simply loves playing music.
