Florence + The Machine Announce Haunting New Album ‘Everybody Scream’ for Halloween

Florence + The Machine are stepping into a darker era. The band has announced their sixth studio album, titled Everybody Scream, set for release on October 31st, 2025—perfectly timed for Halloween.

The news came directly from Florence Welch, who revealed the album artwork on Instagram on August 19th. Along with the announcement, fans were directed to the band’s official website, now updated with a striking new golden logo. Pre-orders are already live, offering vinyl, cassette, and poster bundles.

Hints of this new chapter began earlier this month when Welch posted a haunting video of herself digging frantically into the ground and screaming into the hole. The eerie imagery quickly fueled speculation that a fresh era of music was about to begin.

While Welch hasn’t revealed a tracklist or singles yet, she has been seen working in the studio with Mark Bowen of Idles, leading fans to wonder whether he has played a role in shaping the sound of Everybody Scream.

This album follows 2022’s Dance Fever, which earned both critical acclaim and commercial success. But with its ominous name and unsettling teasers, Everybody Scream suggests a bolder, more chilling soundscape than anything the band has released before.

In the meantime, Welch has kept musically active, recording a cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” with Bowen for the TV series Yellowjackets, and appearing on The Weeknd’s most recent record.

Now, with Everybody Scream, Florence + The Machine seem ready to fully embrace the shadows. Fans won’t have to wait long—the album arrives this Halloween.
