Turning Point USA Confirms Return of All-American Halftime Show at Super Bowl 2027

Turning Point USA has confirmed it will host another alternative Super Bowl halftime show at next year’s Super Bowl, building on its controversial debut in 2026. The conservative nonprofit said its “All-American Halftime Show” — a counterprogram to the NFL’s official halftime performance — was a “massive success” and will return in 2027 with a new edition designed to run concurrently with the league’s main halftime broadcast.

The All-American Halftime Show was launched in 2026 as an intentional alternative to the NFL’s official Apple Music Super Bowl XXLX halftime show, which was headlined by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and drew record viewership. Turning Point USA’s version was created in response to criticism from some conservative commentators about Bad Bunny’s selection, his use of Spanish during the performance, and broader cultural messaging tied to the event.

The first edition featured performances from Kid Rock alongside country artists Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, and was promoted as a celebration of “faith, family and freedom.” While it streamed primarily online and on conservative media outlets, rather than on major broadcast networks, it garnered significant attention — with Turning Point USA reporting over 20–25 million views across YouTube and Rumble alone.

In interviews following the 2026 show, TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet described the inaugural event as a major breakthrough for the organization’s cultural programming. He said the viewership numbers were still rising and promised the concept would return next year with a similar show for the Super Bowl in 2027. “We’ve got to do it for the country, and this was a massive success, and we were grateful to do it,” Kolvet said, adding that planning for the next edition will begin soon.

Kolvet characterized the event as a “shot across the bow,” suggesting that a growing audience is looking for halftime entertainment outside the mainstream NFL broadcast. The decision to host a second installment reflects TPUSA’s belief that there is an audience for alternative programming layered with patriotic themes.

While the All-American Halftime Show’s numbers were far lower than the official Super Bowl halftime broadcast — Bad Bunny’s performance reportedly attracted over 135 million viewers on live TV and streaming — TPUSA emphasized that tens of millions of views across digital platforms signaled a meaningful impact.

The alternative show’s performance metrics — including reports of up to 6.1 million concurrent viewers at peak and more than 19 million cumulative views on YouTube alone — were cited by TPUSA as evidence of an engaged audience, especially among conservative and family-oriented viewers.

The event also touched on significant culture-war themes, with some public figures praising the initiative and others mocking or criticizing it. Regardless of opinion, its return in 2027 confirms the organizers’ commitment to making it an annual fixture aligned with the Super Bowl weekend.

Details about the lineup, broadcast format, and participating artists for the 2027 All-American Halftime Show have not yet been released. Turning Point USA has indicated that it will spend the coming year planning and expanding the show with the same core mission: offering an alternative halftime experience marketed around American cultural values.

As the 2027 Super Bowl approaches, viewers and media observers will be watching to see how the event evolves — whether it will incorporate new performers, expand distribution channels, or further refine its messaging ahead of next year’s game.
