The Strokes Announce Massive 2026 World Tour Ahead of New Album

The Strokes have announced a major 2026 world tour to support their upcoming seventh studio album, Reality Awaits, marking their first new release since 2020’s The New Abnormal. The album is scheduled to arrive on June 26, 2026, and was produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin.

The tour announcement came shortly after the band’s appearance at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where they previewed new material and reminded fans why they remain one of the defining bands of modern indie rock.

The global run of shows will begin on June 12, 2026, with a headline performance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. From there, the band will embark on an extensive series of concerts across North America before heading overseas later in the year.

Following the Bonnaroo kickoff, the tour will continue with major stops in cities including Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. After completing their North American run, the band will take the tour internationally with concerts scheduled across Europe and Japan, including shows in Tokyo, London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona.

The tour is currently scheduled to conclude on October 28, 2026, in Dublin, bringing to a close several months of performances tied to the band’s long-awaited return with new music.

Fans attending the shows will likely hear songs from Reality Awaits, including the album’s first single “Going Shopping.” The new record follows the band’s critically acclaimed 2020 release The New Abnormal, which marked their comeback after a seven-year gap between studio albums.

In addition to their own headline dates, the band will also appear at several major festivals throughout the year, including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival, further highlighting their continued presence on the global festival circuit.

Presales for the newly announced shows will begin Wednesday, with general ticket sales launching on April 17. Fans can register through the band’s official website for early ticket access and additional tour updates.

More than two decades after helping define the early-2000s garage-rock revival, The Strokes — featuring Julian Casablancas, Albert Hammond Jr., Nick Valensi, Nikolai Fraiture, and Fabrizio Moretti — continue to build on their legacy, returning with both a new album and an ambitious global tour in 2026.
