U2 have unveiled another tease from their next chapter, this time with footage from a music video shoot in Mexico City for a new song called “Street Of Dreams.” The clip surfaced on May 12, 2026, after the band had already surprised fans earlier in the year with EP releases on Ash Wednesday and Easter. According to Stereogum, the new track is coming from U2’s next studio album, which is scheduled for release later in 2026.

The video shoot took place in Mexico City, where Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. performed the song on top of a school bus covered in graffiti by Mexican artist Chavis Mármol. The setting gave the preview a street-level, high-contrast look that matched the song’s title and the band’s ongoing push to present new material in unexpected ways.

The band’s timing also lines up with a major event in the city: Mexico City is hosting the 2026 Street Child World Cup this week. In a statement quoted by Stereogum, Larry Mullen Jr. described the organization as a small NGO making a big impact for children who have talent but limited access, and said the band is proud to support it.

U2 also amplified the moment on social media, posting a short message about hopping a bus in Mexico City and tying the imagery to “Street Of Dreams.” The post underscored that the shoot was not just a behind-the-scenes stunt, but part of a broader rollout for the band’s next record.

So far, U2 have not announced the album title or exact release date, but the band has made clear that the song belongs to a full studio project arriving later this year. For fans, the Mexico City footage is the clearest sign yet that the next U2 era is moving from teasing into motion.
