Colorado thrash band Havok have signed with BLKIIBLK and released their first song for the label, “Fifth Generation Warfare,” on May 28, 2026. The band also unveiled an official lyric video and confirmed that the track is the first single to feature new guitarist Brett Rechtfertig.
Havok said they were excited to work with a new label that is hungry to make a name for itself while being led by an experienced hand. They described the music as a continuation of the band’s long-running style: fast, tight heavy metal with a focus on energy and precision.
On the song itself, the band said “Fifth Generation Warfare” showcases several sides of Havok at once, including guitar harmonies, punk attitude, pummeling drums, and bass lines that move differently from the guitars. They said the track tackles “a gnarly topic” but still leans into optimism, which fits the band’s habit of pairing heavy themes with a forward-looking tone.
The release arrives alongside a huge 2026 touring campaign. Havok’s U.S. run with Killswitch Engage, Machine Head and Iron Reagan begins on June 1 in Omaha and runs through June 27 in San Francisco, before the band heads to Latin America in July and then Europe from September 10 through October 10.
