Paul McCartney is a master songwriter, effortlessly crafting timeless melodies—but what happens when you get on his nerves? Apparently, you get your own song!
During a 2018 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, McCartney gave fans a glimpse into his songwriting process. He explained that whenever he’s feeling down or frustrated, writing music helps him work through his emotions. “It’s like therapy,” he shared. “If you’re feeling bad, you can grab a guitar and start telling your troubles through music, and work out your problem.”
Hearing this, Fallon couldn’t resist putting the theory to the test. His mission? Annoy Paul McCartney just enough to inspire a song.
Whether it was through his usual over-the-top antics or playful pestering, Fallon did everything he could to push McCartney’s buttons. And it worked! Instead of getting mad, McCartney did what he does best—he grabbed a guitar and spontaneously created an “angry” song about Fallon on the spot.
The result? A hilarious moment that proved even when he’s irritated, McCartney can turn anything into music. If a little annoyance led to an impromptu song, imagine what he could do if he was really upset!
