Big Big Train Announce 2026 European & UK Tour to Celebrate Their Woodcut Album

Prog-rock septet Big Big Train have announced a major European and UK tour for Autumn 2026, centered around their upcoming concept album Woodcut. The band will play 18 shows across the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland.

The tour kicks off in the UK on September 25, 2026, at The Stables in Milton Keynes, and concludes on October 17, 2026, with a headline show at London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Speaking about the tour, lead vocalist and producer Alberto Bravin expressed his excitement:

“We’re extremely proud of Woodcut and are really looking forward to bringing it to life on stage next autumn as well as exploring various corners of the band’s back catalogue, some of which will be more familiar to fans than others. We’re planning to play for over two hours each night and I can’t wait to get back on the road.”

Drummer Nick D’Virgilio added:

“This tour is going to be a complete blast. As well as the 8 UK shows, it will be great to get back to continental Europe for 10 shows, including performing in Spain and France for the first time, plus our debut indoor shows in Italy. Some of our very best shows recently have been in standing venues, so it will be fun to have two of these in the UK as well.”

Supporting the New Album

The tour supports Big Big Train’s next studio album, Woodcut, which is set to be released via InsideOut Music on February 6, 2026.  Bravin has described the album as their first full-length conceptual work — exploring themes of creativity, sacrifice, and the fine line between inspiration and madness.

During the tour, fans can expect more than just new music. The band plans to play deep cuts from their back catalogue — including material not performed live in decades — alongside their new conceptual work, promising more than two hours of music each night.
