Kentucky southern rock icons Black Stone Cherry have officially altered their upcoming touring landscape, shifting their highly anticipated autumn UK and Ireland anniversary run into early 2027. Originally mapped out to take over major venues across October and November of 2026, the massive trek, aptly titled The Celebrate Tour, has been completely rescheduled for January and February of 2027. While a tour delay is usually bittersweet news for rock fans, the heavyweights have sweetened the deal for their dedicated audience by expanding the itinerary significantly, adding five brand-new shows to construct a massive twenty-one-date celebration across the British Isles.
The sudden scheduling shift stems from deeply important personal matters within the band camp, specifically involving their powerhouse percussionist. Drummer John-Fred Young explicitly detailed the situation to the band’s loyal fanbase, explaining that he needs to remain at home for some crucial family events that are taking place right in the middle of October. Young revealed that the band initially attempted to keep the live dates within the same calendar year by shifting the schedule to late November or December, but strict venue room availability across the region made it impossible to retain the entire tour. Ultimately, the quartet decided that moving the journey to the beginning of 2027 was the best path forward, assuring ticket holders that all previously purchased tickets will remain completely valid for the newly booked dates.
Musically, The Celebrate Tour serves as a massive milestone celebration for Black Stone Cherry, specifically marking the twentieth anniversary of their landmark 2006 self-titled debut album. The rescheduled gigs will follow a special “evening with” format, giving audiences a massive double-set performance each night. The first half of the concert will see the band perform their legendary debut record from start to finish, throwing back to raw, heavy hits like “Lonely Train” that initially launched them onto global airwaves. The second half of the night will pivot into an explosive, high-energy collection of the band’s ultimate career-spanning fan favorites alongside brand-new material taken from their latest studio extended play release, which is also titled Celebrate.
