Creed, who made their most recent reunion public back in July, will embark on a massive arena tour of North America the following summer.
The 40-city Summer of ’99 tour will begin on April 17 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Florida hard rock group will perform live for the first time in 12 years on their own Summer of ’99 cruise. The quartet’s tour will conclude on September 28 when they close the show at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
On Friday, November 3, tickets for the Creed tour will go on sale via the band’s website.
The Tallahassee, Florida band, consisting of drummer Scott Phillips, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and singer Scott Stapp, sold 53 million albums worldwide between 1997 and 2004, with 28 million of those sales occurring in the US alone. The band broke up in 2004. After the group got back together in 2009, they started working on a fifth studio album. However, when they took a break in 2013, those plans were halted. While his three bandmates have had great success with Myles Kennedy in Alter Bridge, Stapp has released his second and third solo albums in the last ten years: 2013’s Proof Of Life and 2019’s The Space Between The Shadows. The singer will release his fourth solo album, Higher Power, on March 15.

Mark Tremonti on his departure from Creed:
In an interview with Classic Rock last year, Mark Tremonti discussed the reasons behind his departure from Creed following their 2004 breakup and the formation of Alter Bridge.
“I’ve worked at horrible jobs that I detested going to, but this was different,” he remarked. It is the most heartbreaking, horrible thing when you have a lifelong passion and attain the kind of enormous success you have always imagined, but there is something tearing it apart and ruining your entire existence. And it annoyed me. When I was younger, I could never have imagined being in a popular band that was unfun to be in.
“But it got to the point where, every other week, I would beg Scott Phillips to stay, or he would beg me to stay, and he would be quitting. Then, one day, we both decided we wanted to stop, and that was it. We had to consider our true priorities: pursuing new artistic endeavors or going platinum with a band you detested playing with.”
