Dave Mustaine Remembers Being Praised By King Crimson’s Robert Fripp

Dave Mustaine is a renowned rock musician and co-founder of the band Megadeth. He recently shared how Robert Fripp praised him and complimented him. Moreover, Robert also admired the way he produced musical sounds with the help of his guitar. Robert Fripp respects Mustaine a lot. 

King Crimson’s Member Robert Fripp was asked which Megadeth guitar solos he was most fond of. To this, he replied, “I love ‘Holy Wars’ the most. It is great. The songs like ‘Tornado Of Souls’, ‘Stuff Off’, ‘Countdown’, and ‘Rust in Peace’ are the greatest songs of all time. It just depends – some song provides a perfect vibe and attitude while others are versatile. “Agriculture of Aggression” is genuinely an energetic guitar song.”

Also, He added “And ‘Hangar 18‘ by Staples is the breathtaking song. Most people don’t look at “Symphony Of Destruction” as a large song. It’s not the large song indeed it’s the huge song. 

After that, the guitarist shared how King Crimson loved how he played his guitar. He also said which song of Megadeth the rocker loved the most.

 He explained, “ Guitar player takes different approaches in a different era. In recent times, the person I admired the most as a guitarist, Robert Fripp, also has listened to ‘Holy Wars’. He said something nice about the song.”

Dave Mustaine further added why the praise of Fripp matters to him this much. He explained, “ I have always looked at Fripp as a very talented guitar player. He is one of the top-level guitar players. Every guitarist dreams of reaching his level. I was flattered when I heard he listened to “Holy War”. Also, I loved the way he praised my song saying it was interestingly structured.”
