Gene Simmons of Kiss spoke with Artists On Record about the band’s legacy. During the interview, the rocker mentioned Kiss’ new beginning, which will coincide with its ending.

He explains, “Part of the fun of Christmas is opening your present and being shocked, surprised, and hopefully delighted. So, what would I tell you in February about what you’ll get for Christmas? There is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes, and what I’ve seen will blow your mind. So, our end is similar to the caterpillar’s transformation into the butterfly. The end marks the beginning. You cannot make us go away. “The touring band has stopped touring, kiss the touring band.

Stanley Does Not Want To Replicate Kiss

Kiss ceased operations in December 2023. After announcing their retirement, the band issued a new statement about performing with avatars to preserve the band’s legacy.

Paul Stanley shifted his focus away from music after Kiss disbanded. Despite the upcoming avatar shows and his interest in painting, Stanley does not want to do anything too similar to his band.

He stated in a previous interview, “I don’t want to try to replicate Kiss. That’s what it is. And it is so one-of-a-kind that it cannot fail. If the idea is to replicate that, it does not appeal to me. I guess I would have to figure out what appeals to me. That is still in the air. Certainly, at this point — and it always has been the case — it has to come down to, what makes me happy. If it doesn’t make me happy, the happiness it might bring somebody else is going to be hollow for me.
