Kelly Clarkson Heads Back to “The Voice” for Season 30

Kelly Clarkson is heading back to The Voice for Season 30, and the timing makes the move feel like both a homecoming and a fresh start. According to Taste of Country, NBC is bringing Clarkson back for the show’s fall 2026 season, even as she prepares to wrap up The Kelly Clarkson Show later this year. NBC also confirmed the return on social media, with The Voice posting, “Team Kelly has RE-entered the chat,” alongside the announcement that Clarkson will return as a coach this fall.

For Clarkson, Season 30 will mark her 11th season as a coach on the NBC competition series. She first joined The Voice in 2018, became one of its most successful coaches, and has won the show four times, during Seasons 14, 15, 17, and 21. That record has made her one of the most familiar and successful faces in the franchise’s history.

Her return also comes after a busy and emotionally loaded stretch in her career. Clarkson recently announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show will end after seven seasons, and reports have linked the decision to her desire to put more focus on family and balance after years of juggling daytime television, music, and live commitments. At the same time, she continues to keep her music career active, including her Las Vegas residency, “Studio Sessions,” which runs through late 2026.

Season 30 is already shaping up to be a major reset for The Voice. NBC has confirmed Adam Levine’s return, and current reporting says Clarkson will join him while the remaining coaches are still being finalized. That means the show is moving back toward its traditional four-coach format after recent seasons with different lineups.

Clarkson’s comeback also follows her recent turn in The Voice: Battle of Champions, where she returned to the franchise in a mentor role. That made her Season 30 announcement feel less like a shock and more like the next step in a long-running relationship with the show. The new season is expected to premiere in fall 2026.

In other words, Clarkson is not just coming back to fill a chair. She is returning to one of the few TV platforms where her personality, instincts, and competitive streak all still land exactly right. For The Voice, that is a big get. For fans, it is the kind of announcement that instantly makes a new season feel more important.
