Klaus Meine Of Scorpions Says “Were Always an Amazing Live Band — And Still Are”

Legendary rock band Scorpions are reminding the world that their live shows remain as electrifying as ever — even after more than six decades on the road.

In a recent interview with KPTV FOX 12, singer Klaus Meine and guitarist Matthias Jabs talked about the band’s upcoming Las Vegas residency at PH Live at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, titled Scorpions – Coming Home To Las Vegas, set to run September 17 through October 3, 2026, with special guest Buckcherry alongside them.

Reflecting on their history and reputation, Meine didn’t mince words about the band’s live strength — pointing out that Scorpions were always an amazing live band and that reputation holds true today as they prepare for more performances. Even as members have aged into their seventies, Meine and Jabs made it clear that the rock spirit — the connection with audiences around the world — hasn’t faded.

The band’s commanding stage presence and catalogue of rock and metal anthems — from classics like “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Still Loving You” to countless fan favourites — have entrenched Scorpions as one of rock’s most enduring live acts. Their energy and connection with audiences continues to be a talking point among fans and critics alike, even decades into their career.

The upcoming Vegas residency follows several successful runs in Sin City — part of celebrating the band’s 60th anniversary and the ongoing celebration of a legendary live career. Previous residencies have demonstrated just how much fans still turn out for the group’s powerhouse performances, proving Meine’s confidence isn’t just talk.

Throughout their long career, Scorpions have soldiered through ups and downs — including lineup changes, health issues and the recent passing of former bassist Francis Buchholz in January 2026 at age 71 — and yet their ability to deliver commanding live shows has remained a constant.

As Scorpions prepare to bring that energy back to Las Vegas in 2026, Meine and the band are making it clear: they’ve always been a live force, and they continue to be one — still proving it night after night for fans new and old.
